Ministry

Worship Director and Songwriter
I have been a musician for over 30 years, with continued experience and learning, using vocals, playing guitars, keyboards/piano and drums/percussion to impact people and glorify Jesus Christ. I have performed with such artists as Geoff Moore and The Distance, DecembeRadio and The Apologetix. In 2007 & 2008, I served as a regional worship coordinator/leader for Promise Keepers Canada and as a Compassion Canada Musician Advocate. In 2005, I also produced my first self titled CD, premiering my own original Christian music, which is being used in various churches and have been heard on some radio stations. I participated in a band that was scheduled to perform at Bayfest, but our time slot ( along with many other bands ) that day, were removed because of inclement weather. I am involved with various ministries at my local church, New Horizons Community Church, which includes leading and directing worship, for the Celebration Congregation, for which I was appointed in 2009. Men's Ministry Leader
In 2004, I started convening the Sarnia Men's Church Volleyball League, the largest men's sports league in the city. I enjoy playing and leading this sport ministry, which has continually grown since then, and it has provided opportunity for the Church to reach out to some of the men in our area. I also currently lead a men's weekly small group for the purpose of supporting the men to a greater sense of what it is, to be a Godly man, by studying Scripture, encountering God in prayer, accountability, engaging our culture and relationship development. I am also currently mentoring and discipling several men along their spiritual journey and I organize an annual trip to the Promise Keepers National conference, for men in the area who are interested. Preaching/Pastoring
As a Christ follower for more than 30 years, my life experience and calling converge upon this important appointment. I am "tracking" for the pastorate through the Free Methodist Church in Canada, and serving locally at New Horizons Community Church. In 2009, I was appointed as the Assistant Pastor for the Celebration Congregation and I continue to serve in that role to this day. I have been serving in ministry in various areas and am currently teaching at churches, venues and campgrounds in the area. My preaching style is a blend of expositional and narrative presentation, which can accommodate both biblical study or topical address. I am passionate about the need for balance and a Christ-follower to genuinely live out their faith in God. I preach this with a blend of humour and conviction, all of course with the a biblical foundation and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. I eagerly await the next opportunity to serve people with His message, with humility and reverence to our Almighty Creator. I can be characterized as one who fights for truth, defends justice, and lives to serve Jesus Christ, whom I believe, with complete conviction, is the author of life, joy, peace, mercy, grace, love and most of all, our salvation. Therefore, with His strength, and mentoring, I live to honour Him.
