A native of North Bay, Ontario, I was adopted by a loving pastor and his wife (Conrad & Janice) at the age of three. After moving to Sudbury for a few years, my family made their way to South Western Ontario, in Sarnia, where I live today. An alumni of both , St. Clair Secondary School, and a short stint at Redeemer Christian College, I followed the passions of my youth including soccer and then music, which became my main course of study starting at age 15. With gaining skills and knowledge of drums, piano, guitars and vocals, I became actively involved in several musical groups, while working in various sales oriented retail positions. At age 23, I married my high school "sweetheart", Melanie who is an amazing wife, and I have also been blessed with two awesome children ( Nathan & Ainsleigh ).
In 2006, I got my first SLR ( well actually "ours", as it was a Christmas gift for both my wife and I ). It didn't take long before I was hooked on the science and art of photography. As I practiced incessantly, I sought out wisdom and experience from online resources, The Sarnia Photographic Club and personal mentors, including two Master Photographers, each with over 50 years photography experience! Since then, I have developed my art repertoire to include Weddings, Real Estate/Architectural, Events, Sports, Commercial and Portraiture. With over 70,000 images produced, I have continued to build upon my skills, both with my camera gear, and my understanding of post-production with Adobe Photoshop, to produce captivating photographic artwork. My work has won awards in local contests has been featured on display, published in magazines and is currently in use in advertising and websites.
I am regularly involved with the community through participating and/or organizing fundraisers for local charities, and participating in local community events/organizations like the Sarnia Boys and Girls Soccer Clubs, Sarnia Kinsmen Christmas Parade of Lights, Shirley Schram School of Dance and the Sarnia Highland Dance Competition. I am an honest, sensitive, fun-loving, straight-forward person who values quality relationships and enjoys engaging our community. I currently play volleyball, and still enjoy an occasional pick-up game of soccer ( a few years ago, I played in the Sarnia Mens Industrial Soccer League ). I also like watching sports like Hockey, Soccer, Volleyball, Tennis, and UFC. I listen to a wide variety of music, but I especially appreciate modern worship music with artists like Casting Crowns, Brian Doerksen, Lincoln Brewster, Michael W. Smith, and Chris Tomlin. I am blessed by my family, church family and friends, and I continually strive to develop my business and ministry to serve others. I love to share my passion of photography with people and welcome new opportunities to capture this wondrous world we enjoy. I can't wait to work with you on your next project!
